At a glance
Problem
Information about the Samara region's landmarks and routes is scattered. A single, convenient service was needed with an interactive map, ready-made routes, and facts about places.
My contribution
Led the team and owned the whole product: architecture, frontend, backend, and database structure. We brought the project to a fully working system.
Result
A fully working fullstack system — a guide website to the Samara region with an interactive map and routes. Built under my leadership.
Challenge
The problem
Information about the Samara region's landmarks and routes is scattered. A single, convenient service was needed with an interactive map, ready-made routes, and facts about places.
We built a full fullstack product: React + TypeScript and TailwindCSS on the frontend, Python + Flask and MongoDB on the backend. We implemented an interactive map with precise coordinates, filters by category and duration, ready-made routes, and place descriptions.

How it works
A regional guide on a single map
The idea was to gather the Samara region's landmarks into one service. An interactive map with precise coordinates helps tourists and locals find interesting places and plan trips.

Routes, places, and facts
Beyond the map, the service shows ready-made routes, place descriptions, and interesting facts about the region. Filters by category and duration help you quickly pick an option.
A fullstack team and a working product
I led the team and owned the whole product: React + TypeScript on the frontend, Python + Flask and MongoDB on the backend. The result was a fully working system.

Engineering decisions
Frontend
React and TypeScript for the interface, TailwindCSS for fast styling. An interactive map with landmark points, filters, and route display.
Backend
An API in Python and Flask, a document-oriented MongoDB database via Mongoose. Stores landmarks, routes, and related data without a rigid schema.
